FAQS

For culturally specific materials and resources created for and informed by Native people in Washington state, please check out For Our Lives and the Healing of the Canoe Project.

All toolkit materials are free to download but ordering printed toolkit materials costs money.

If your organization has funding to cover the cost of the print order, we prioritize using those funds first. However, if your organization does not have funding, or if your funding does not cover the full cost of your order, the Friends for Life campaign has limited technical assistance funds to help. While there is no set cap to the assistance we provide, we work to distribute funds equitably to serve as many organizations as possible.

Our goal is to get Friends for Life materials into all Washington communities. Don’t let the cost of print materials stop you from ordering. We will work with you to find a solution.

Below are prices from our vendors’ most recent quote sheet. These prices are subject to change and should be used only to give you an idea of approximate costs.

  • 15 posters: $25
  • 100 brochures: $100
  • 200 post cards: $50
  • 200 wallet cards: $40
  • 200 Peer to peer convo guides: $250
  • 250 Zines: $375
  • 100 stickers: $75
  • 100 buttons: $50
  • 50 magnets: $80
  • 50 notepads: $125
  • 300 pens: $175
  • 50 Window clings: $100
  • 50 Zipper pouches: $450

Customizing materials typically means adding your organization’s name, logo, and contact information to the item, so people know who to contact locally for support.

We customize brochures and posters most frequently. However, if you have a specific request, please reach out and we will schedule a time to meet with you.

While we are happy to add your organization’s name, logo, and contact information, the existing words and images on each piece were designed intentionally and with approval from the Washington State Health Care Authority. Therefore, we can’t change the existing language or look of individual pieces.

The ordering process typically takes between 2 – 4 weeks. However, if you have an upcoming event that you would like materials for, please contact us. We will work to meet your request, if possible, regardless of the timing.

Partners use toolkit materials in many ways to meet the needs of their local communities. This includes sharing Friends for Life materials in spaces youth and young adults are likely to see them. Whether it’s at a school, coffee shop, mall, library, or community space, consider how you can get campaign materials in front of priority audiences.

Partners can also share information from the campaign using our ready-to-use presentations in classrooms, work groups, or parent nights. We also have resources for partners working with local media outlets and vendors to display overdose prevention messages or PSAs from the campaign.

If you have further questions, please contact us.

When downloaded, each toolkit item appears in a zip file. Some toolkit materials, like the tear-away flyer and at-home adult-to-teen conversation guide, can be printed using a home computer. However, most materials will require professional printing services. The files that you see when you download toolkit items are print files our vendors will use to print your order.

If your organization has funding to cover the cost of the toolkit materials order, you can use the information below to place your order directly with vendors. If, however, Friends for Life will cover some or all the expense, we will work with you to place the order.
